The Academy provides full careers/ further education support to students in order to help you make informed decisions about your life after the Academy. The LRC houses a vast amount of information on future careers and courses; including local college perspectives, apprentice courses and application forms. This information is available to all students Year 7 - 11.
The Academy has a year 11 notice board in TEST that displays information regarding colleges, training providers, apprenticeships, universities and jobs and useful websites. We have a Pastoral Time Programme delivered during form time to ALL students - Year 7 -11. This covers topics such as career information, financial awareness, life skills, healthy living, diversity etc.
For any advice and guidance in regards to colleges, courses, CV's, applications, universities and careers etc. please see Ms Williams. A drop in session will take place every Tuesday after school in D42.

Positive steps is a local advice service which the Academy works closely with. They regularly visit the academy to provide 1 to 1 advice; in order to understand the barriers you may face in reaching your goals. They cover health, the law, drugs and alcohol, employment, learning and many more.
The Academy hosts it’s very own annual “It’s Your Future Evening” aimed at year 9, 10 and 11 students. Students and parents/ carers are welcomed to interact with 30+ further education colleges, universities, employers and training providers.
The Next futures Event will be taking place on Tuesday 20th October 2015. The event is open to all year 9, 10 and 11 students and their parents.
